Product Features:
  • ONE SIZE FITS ALL - Choose between black or white colors!
FAST & EASY TO APPLY - With it's peel'n'stick technology, simply remove the BladeTape with its pull tab and apply BladeTape easily in less than 30 seconds!
  • BETTER GRIP ON THE PUCK - With a patented rubber face and ridge pattern, BladeTape allows for added grip on the puck for improved control.
  • BETTER STICKHANDLING - Without a bottom edge, BladeTape lets your stick glide through the ice as you feel your stickhandling speed up.
  • NO SNOW OR ICE BUILDUP - With BladeTape's rubber surface, snow and ice are naturally repelled. Don't ever have your gameplay deteroirate late in the game as traditional cloth tape gets heavy and chippy with snow they retained.

Who uses Blade Tape:

Willie Mitchell
Willie Mitchell had contacted Blade Pro in 2007 to try BladeTape. Loving it immediately, Willie now uses BladeTape in every game and practice. His BladeTape of choice: Regular Black.

Matt Cooke
Matt Cooke had contacted Blade Pro in 2007 to try BladeTape after seeing the product on then-teammate, Willie Mitchell. Matt has used BladeTape on and off over the past few seasons now. He has found it gives him better feel and better grip. His BladeTape of choice: Regular Black.

Brent Sopel
Brent had contacted Blade Pro in the Summer of 2009 to let us know that he has been secretly using BladeTape. He wanted to have his own Custom BladeTape with a Chicago Blackhawks theme and we gladly created one for him. He still remains loyal to his BladeTape of choice: Regular Black after his recent move from the Blackhawks to the Thrashers.

Applying Blade Tape:

1. PREPARING THE BLADE
Make sure blade surface is clean and dry. If installing on an old blade ensure blade is free of burrs, cracks etc. by removing or sanding smooth. Remove all old tape debris and residue. Ensure both blade and BladeTape are at, or above room temperature. Best application and performance is achieved if installed the night before the game. Lay BladeTape on clean table surface to determine fit. If necessary, cut/trim BladeTape with scissors prior to removal of the adhesive backing paper. Re-test and adjust as necessary.
2. PREPARING THE BLADETAPE
Peel away BladeTape from the adhesive backing paper completely by using the pull tab.
3. INSTALLING THE BLADETAPE
Apply BladeTape onto the blade working from center lower edge and working outward in both directions. Minimize air pockets. Re-lift and apply as required to eliminate any air pockets. There is no need to stretch the BladeTape as you place it on your blade. Maintain an 1/8" (3mm) clearance from the bottom of the blade for best performance life. When satisfied BladeTape is positioned properly, press firmly in place with warm hand pressure.

FAQ:

WHAT ABOUT MY BOTTOM EDGE?
Not a problem! Data from our studies has shown that the absence of tape on the bottom of the stick does not significantly alter the blade. It is even suggested that traditional cloth tape is actually more damaging to the blade because of its intrinsic hydro-static properties that keeps moisture locked in, threatening the integrity of the stick blade.

HOW MANY GAMES DOES BLADETAPE LAST?
Approximately 15 games! Normally, we recommend players to change their BladeTape every 15 games. The number of games depends on how often you play, the intensity you play at, position, as well as a number of other aspects. We have heard from many of our users that their BladeTape has lasted well beyond the recommended 15 games.

MY BLADETAPE RIPPED! WHAT CAN I DO NOW?
Not a problem! If any damage occurs to BladeTape, simply remove any moisture from the exposed area and then heat it using the warmth of your hands. Once warmed, compress the area with firm pressure using a finger or the palm of your hand. The ability to fix BladeTape on the fly is one of the benefits you will realize from using BladeTape, as minor nicks/cuts do not adversely affect performance...
