Why 3 different balls?
There's a reason for the 3 different balls - each with a different weight.
You start with the MuscleBall to develop proper stickhandling patterns and a proper wrist roll. The heavy weight makes the player mover slowly, thus enforcing the proper technique. Hockey specific muscles are also developed with the this ball.
Then you move to the SillzBall to refine and master those paterns and further develop the techniques.
Finally, the SpeedBall is where the player can really work on their quickness and this is where they develop those lighning quick hands.
Light Ball
A light weight enables the player to practice stickhandling movements at a speed that they would not normally be able to with something heavier. It all lends to the training concept that REPETITION builds "muscle memory". All that means is that once your muscles remember how to do something then they are able to react instinctively - without thinking about it.... and in the game of hockey where a split-second can decide the outcome of a game, a player with quick hands can be that deciding factor.
Features:
-
Develop lightning-quick hands by practicing stickhandling with the SpeedBall.
-
Use it at home in the driveway or garage or on other hard, smooth surface.
-
Great pre-game warm-up tool!
-
The SpeedBall is lighter than a puck!
Skillz Ball
Being able to work on stickhandling skills between regular ice times is a huge benefit to a player's development. Stickhandling is one of those basic hockey skills that requires thousands of repetitions to perfect. And it is the training concept that repetition builds "muscle memory". All that means is that once your muscles remember how to do something then they are able to react instinctively. And having an off-ice ball to practice stickhandling with that does not bounce around on a hard surface and has the feel of a puck is a great hockey training aid.
Features:
-
Develop proper stickhandling technique using the top hand wrist roll.
-
Use it at home in the driveway or garage or on other hard, smooth surface.
-
The SkillzBall is about the same weight as a puck.
Muscle Ball
The heavy weight of our MuscleBall is designed to force players to have to work on proper stickhandling patterns very slowly. This allows the player to transition easily to a real puck on the ice.
Features:
-
Increases wrist and forearm strength.
-
Heavy weight helps players refine stickhandling moves because they have to do it slowly.
-
The MuscleBall weighs 535 grams (18.85 oz) - almost 4X more than a puck.
