Professional Hockey Products 4 Professional Hockey Players

Lifestyle

There is no better way to keep perfecting your ice hockey skills then with at home and off-season training. NHL Players Thomas Chabot, Kris Versteeg and David Desharnais know this better than anyone. We asked them what their favorite product is from the new HockeyShot Product Lineup – here’s what they had to say!

Thomas Chabot had an elite hockey career before even stepping onto NHL arena ice. He had four goals and six assists in seven games to help Canada win the silver medal at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship, where he was named MVP and Top Defenseman. In 2018, he again helped Canada to a fourth-place finish at the 2018 IIHF World Championship. On top of being taken as a defenseman with the Ottawa Senators in the first round of the 2015 NHL Draft, we’d say Chabot has a pretty exciting career ahead of him.

When we asked Chabot about how HockeyShot Products could improve the training abilities of NHL Prospects, he told us,

"HockeyShot products are amazing for a prospect like me trying to make my way to the NHL. The All-Star Dryland Flooring Tiles are super slick and very similar to ice and are great for stickhandling or shooting. The Extreme Passer Pro is ideal to practice one-timers and receiving passes like in-game situations".

Here at HockeyShot we love to see kids with potential take their training to the next level with HockeyShot Products and Thomas Chabot is a great example of that.

One of the perks of being an NHL All-Star is the ability to travel and experience life on the road. That’s why it's important to have durable gear that you can depend on, like HockeyShot Products. Kris Versteeg knows what it's like to live a hockey life on the move. After helping the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup in 2010 as a regular; he made stops with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers and Florida Panthers before returning back to Chicago to help them win the Stanley Cup for the second time in 2015. Kris has been a free agent with the Calgary Flames since 2016 and spends lots of time keeping up his trademark grit around the net.

When we asked Kris Versteeg what his favorite HockeyShot Training Products are, he couldn’t pick just one! One of his favorites is the HockeyShot Extreme Glide Synthetic Ice which Kris said had a great impact on his skills because

"Being able to practice my game anytime I want at my home with Extreme Glide Synthetic Ice is an unbelievable feeling. Having the artificial ice readily available for training is an experience that can’t be duplicated anywhere but HockeyShot."

What’s better than HockeyShot Synthetic Ice? Synthetic Ice training drills with the Speed Deke of course! Kris said

"I’m now capable of practicing my stickhandling on or off the ice with the HS Speed Deke Trainers. They give me the flexibility I need to truly get the most out of my training. Arrange this tool any way you want. HockeyShot has the most solid training products I have ever tested."

Thanks Kris!

HockeyShot was inspired by small town kids who want to perfect their ice hockey skills, kids like David Desharnais. Coming from a village of 2,600 residents in southern Quebec, he has succeeded in crossing over into the big leagues of the NHL, using his technical skills to outrank the competition and play as a free agent for the Montreal Canadiens, Edmonton Oilers and New York Rangers. HockeyShot was a big part of David Desharnais development as he told us,

"Being smaller than the average NHL player, I need to rely on my skills and speed to compete at the highest level. HS Products are the best I’ve come across and they allow me to work on my skills at home during the season and be the best I can be. I wish I had those when I was a kid! I strongly recommend them to anyone looking at taking their game to the next level!"

The best way to keep maximizing your potential as an ice hockey player is to practice, practice, practice. And with the help of HockeyShot Products, training can not only step up your game but also be a fun and enjoyable way to spend your time off the ice.
